NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's basketball picked up a 65-56 win over Penn State New Kensington on the road Friday.

Nehemiah Brazil led the Celtics (1-2) with 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals on the night.

AJ Sharp tallied 13 points, and Riley Comforti went 4 for 4 from the foul line and contributed 12 points.

Both teams tied the score several times throughout the first half.

A last-minute Lions three-pointer cut Carlow's lead to one heading into intermission.

The Celtics maintained a steady pace through the second half, out-scoring New Kensington, 37-29, for the win.

Carlow shot 76.9 percent (20 for 26) from the foul line and out-rebounded the Lions, 36-32.

The Lions scored 20 points off 21 Carlow turnovers and scored 23 points off the bench to Carlow's 16.

The Celtics face the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. for their home-opener at Donahue Pavilion.
