The Pomeroys (7-15, 2-10 RSC) picked up their second conference win of the season with the defeat of the Celtics (1-22, 0-12 RSC).

Griffin Ruhlman sank four of Carlow's eight treys on the day to lead the Celtics with a season-high 19 points.

Nehemiah Brazil played every minute of the contest, contributing 10 points, while Byron Gaskins added three steals and three assists.

Carlow started the game strong, leading by six points after seven minutes of action in the first half; however, an uninterrupted 15-point run by the Pomeroys gave them a 24-15 lead with 10 minutes remaining.

SMWC went on a 10-0 run to end the half ahead 18 points.

The Celtics forced 10 SMWC turnovers in the second half, but could not string together a run to catch up to the Pomeroys.

Elkin Ramirez sank four treys and led all scorers with 20 points.

The Pomeroys held a 43-30 advantage in rebounds and scored 48 points off the bench to Carlow's 19.

The Celtics host Alice Lloyd College Thursday, Feb. 2 for an 8 p.m. RSC game at Oakland Catholic High School.
