TACOMA PARK, Md. --- Carlow University women's basketball lost a tough, 117-61, contest to Washington Adventist University on the road Saturday night.
Shaelyn Clark led the Celtics with 14 points and four rebounds, while Elena Butler added 12 points and two steals off the bench.
The Shock (3-2) held the Celtics to single digit scoring in the first and third quarters.
Washington Adventist prevented Carlow from scoring for eight minutes in the first quarter, but Carlow battled through the second, trailing 58-27 at the half.
The third quarter played out much like the first, with the Shock holding Carlow to just eight points while pouring in 39 of their own.
The Celtics outscored Washington Adventist, 26-20, in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late.
The Shock shot 67.2 percent from the field and outrebounded the Celtics, 30-16, on the night. Washington Adventist outscored Carlow, 42-18, in the paint.
Sole Carroll scored a game-high 27 points with six treys to lead the Shock. Kori People added 26 points, and four other players recorded double figures in the win.
Carlow kicks off Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action when they return from Thanksgiving break with a 6 p.m. home-opener against Penn State Behrend Nov. 29.
