Women’s Track & Field sweeps USCAA Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row

Molly Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS), Mya Waage (Trinity, Fla./J. W. Mitchell HS) and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) earned Runner, Thrower and Jumper of the Week honors, respectively.
The Celtics competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational March 28 and 29.
Wagner placed 11th in the 100 with a time of 12.72 and was part 4x100 relay team that placed seventh with a time of 50.87. She also ran a leg of the 4x400 relay team that placed 14th with a time of 4:28.41, and she placed 19th in the 200 with a time of 26.29.
Waage led the Celtics with a personal best throw of 32.83 meters in discus, good enough to land her second in the Carlow record books behind Jasmine Wicks (33.42 on March 27, 2021) and 13th in the event.
Taylor leapt an outdoor personal best 4.73 meters in long jump and placed 26th in triple jump with a distance of 9.70 meters. She was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed seventh with a time of 50.87.
Carlow competes at the Slippery Rock University Dave Labor Invitational April 5.
