2024-2025 Competition & Spirit Cheer Team Recruitment

For the 2024-2025 season, Carlow Cheerleading is going competitive! We will offer TWO opportunities to cheer for Carlow University: a competition team and a spirit team.

The competition squad will focus on the competitive and sport aspect of cheerleading by attending local cheer competitions in the Fall and Winter before making a go at NCA Cheer & Dance College Nationals in Daytona, Fla. in April 2025. The competition team will also have some spirit and campus engagement requirements.

The spirit squad will require less experience and focus on cheering on the Celtics at select men's and women's home soccer games, all men's and women's home basketball games, occasional volleyball games, as well as participating in select campus engagement events.

*Spirit team members will be given priority to join the competition team if spaces become available.

Upcoming Events:

• Saturday, March 23 – Celtic Celebration *Accepted Students Only*
  • If you have been accepted to the University and plan to attend the event, please email to get details on how to meet with the cheer coaches.
    
• Thursday, April 4 – Informational Meeting *Currently Enrolled Students Only*
  • 6-7pm in St. Joe's Hospitality Room
    
• Thursday, April 11 – Open Gym *Currently Enrolled Students Only*
  • 6-7:30pm in St. Agnes

Additional recruitment opportunities will be held at the start of the Fall semester. However, space on the competitive team is limited so it's encouraged to lock your spot in early.
