Carlow Rocket League Gold sweeps Louisville, 3-0

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University defeated the University of Louisville in three straight Rocket League matches to sweep the best of five series, 3-0, Tuesday night.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University defeated the University of Louisville in three straight Rocket League matches to sweep the best of five series, 3-0, Tuesday night. Carlow outscored Louisville 7-1 on the aggregate and posted two shutouts along the way.

Game 1

Carlow dominated the first game, outshooting Louisville 9-4. All three players on the Carlow side scored a goal with AJ Nguyen (fallin._.) netting two goals in the game. Brady Fest (brad) contributed three saves enroute to the Carlow shutout.

Game 2

The second game was a much closer affair, with Carlow pulling out the 2-1 victory. Angelo Fernandez (Gelo) contributed one goal and one assist, while Fest contributed three more saves in the game.

Game 3

Carlow was on the hunt for the sweep in game three. They played smothering defense limiting Louisville to only four shots and allowing none to go in. Nguyen scored the only goal in the match, which proved be just enough as Carlow Gold edged out Louisville in game three by a final score of 1-0.
