Cold-shooting Men's Basketball defeated by Point Park in RSC City Game

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's basketball fell, 80-42, to Point Park University in a River States Conference city game Saturday.

The Pioneers (7-3, 2-2 RSC) jumped out to a 9-0 lead to start the game and did not allow Carlow to reach double figures until under 10 minutes remaining in the half.

Point Park held a 21-point lead over the Celtics (1-12, 0-4 RSC) heading into intermission.

The second half saw a similar outcome, with the Pioneers going on a 19-2 run to close out the game.

Point Park's defense did not allow the Celtics a single three-pointer on the afternoon.

Riley Comforti led Carlow with 15 points and two assists, while Nehemiah Brazil contributed 10 points and dished out four assists.

Four different Pioneers scored double-digit points in the win.

Point Park scored 21 points off 18 Carlow turnovers and out-rebounded the Celtics, 56-37.

The Pioneers scored 20 points off the bench to Carlow's 11.

Carlow shot 66.7 percent (12 for 18) from the foul line on the day.

The Celtics travel to NCAA DI Appalachian State University Tuesday, Dec. 6 for a 6:30 p.m. game that will air on ESPN+.
