Rebounding and second-chance points plague Men's Basketball in loss to Midway

The Eagles (9-6, 5-2 RSC) went on a 23-3 run to gain a double-figure advantage early on against the Celtics (1-17, 0-7 RSC).

Isaiah Stein dropped back-to-back three-pointers to bring Carlow to within 10 points, and the Celtics left the court trailing by just nine at the half.

Midway kicked-started the second half with a 13-2 run, despite Carlow forcing 12 Eagles' turnovers throughout the half.

Stein came up with a huge block at the 11-minute mark, but the Celtics could not catch up to the Eagles as time dwindled off the clock.

Riley Comforti led Carlow with 12 points, eight boards and two blocks.

Stein and Brevan Williams contributed 11 points apiece, with Stein tallying three blocks in the effort.

Donnie Miller scored almost half of Midway's points, leading all players with 31.

The Celtics forced 19 Midway turnovers, but the Eagles out-rebounded Carlow, 55-29, on the day.

The Eagles scored 19 second-chance points to Carlow's four and 18 points off the bench to the Celtics' 12.

Carlow sank seven treys and shot 80 percent (8 for 10) from the foul line.

The Celtics return to action Thursday, Jan. 12 when they host Brescia (Ky.) University for an 8 p.m. RSC game at Oakland Catholic High School.
