Three-pointers drain Men's Basketball in RSC game at (RV) Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE, Ohio --- Carlow University men's basketball lost, 88-46, to the University of Rio Grande on the road Saturday.

RIO GRANDE, Ohio --- Carlow University men's basketball lost, 88-46, to the University of Rio Grande on the road Saturday.

Carlow concluded the regular season 1-27 overall and 0-17 in River States Conference action after today's loss to the RedStorm (23-5, 16-1 RSC).

Byron Gaskins led the Celtics with 11 points and six rebounds.

The RedStorm sank 13 three-pointers on the day and out-rebounded the Celtics, 55-36.

Trailing 11-6, Griffin Ruhlman scored seven straight points for the Celtics to cut Rio Grande's lead to 11-10 five minutes into the game.

The RedStorm led by just 15 at intermission, but went on a 25-2 run to jump start the second half.

Rio Grande immediately followed up with a 21-3 run to put the game out of reach for the Celtics.

Carlow ended the game on a 10-0 run, but it was too little, too late for the Celtics.

Kaden Warner sank five treys and led the RedStorm with 21 points, while Shiloah Blevins added 20 points and 11 boards for a double-double.

Miki Tadic contributed 16 points, and Trent Hundley tallied 14 points off the bench for Rio Grande.
