Sbai earns USCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men’s basketball guard Adnan Sbai earned USCAA Player of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's basketball guard Adnan Sbai earned USCAA Player of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

Sbai, a junior from Camp Hill, Pa., averaged 17 points per game and shot 46.2 percent from beyond the arc in two close games for the Celtics last week.

He scored 15 points off the bench in a 78-75 overtime loss to Hilbert College Feb. 1 and led the Celtics with a game-high 19 points in a 75-50 loss to Penn State Behrend Jan. 28.

Sbai is averaging 11.1 points per game and is shooting 42.1 percent from the field.

The Celtics host Pitt Greensburg for a 7 p.m. AMCC game Feb. 5.
