Men’s Golf competes on Day 1 of Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic

CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's golf completed the first round of the two-day Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic Saturday, hosted by Mount Aloysius College at the par-72 Summit Country Club.

Christian Rotundo made par on half the holes on the day to lead Carlow with an 83. He tied for 40th out of the 82-person field.

Zach Jubeck made par five times in the front nine, while CJ Lucas and Logan Smith each recorded a birdie on the back nine.

Penn College's Peyton Mussina shot two-under to lead the field, while Penn State Altoona's 'A' team and Westminster College tied for first shooting 304 each.

The classic concludes tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Sinking Valley Country Club, hosted by Penn State Altoona.
