Men’s Golf kicks off season at Pitt Bradford Invitational

Junior Christian Rotundo (Thorold, Ontario, Canada/Denis Morris Catholic Secondary School) led the Celtics with an 84. Logan Smith (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley HS) shot an 87, while Ryley Stephenson (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport Area HS) and newcomer Logan Connelly (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS/ St. Vincent College) carded 90 and 91, respectively.
The Celtics shot a team score of 352 on the 6,553-yard course.
"The Pennhills Club is a difficult test," Head Coach Ryan Shank said. "The team had some quality golf shots, and we look forward to improving on this score."
Pitt Greensburg shot 310 to lead the eight-team tournament, while Kai Haseyama of Westminster College and Zachary Abdallah of Pitt Greensburg each shot 73 to tie for first place individually.
The Celtics return to the green with the two-day Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, hosted by Penn State Altoona and Mount Aloysius College Sept. 6-7.
