Men’s Golf competes at NCAA Region V Showcase
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio --- Carlow University men’s golf competed in the NCAA Division III Region V Showcase at Manakiki Golf Club Saturday and Sunday.
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio --- Carlow University men's golf competed in the NCAA Division III Region V Showcase at Manakiki Golf Club Saturday and Sunday.
The Celtics finished with a team score of 748 and were one of 22 teams competing in the two-day tournament. Carlow improved its team score by 14 strokes on the second day of the event.
Christian Rotundo (Thorold, Ontario, Canada/Denis Morris Catholic Secondary School) led the Celtics with a score of 179, improving by five strokes on the second day to tie for 118 out of 127 golfers in the tournament.
Zach Jubeck (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny HS) birdied twice and carded a 190 on the weekend.
Trine captured the team title with a two-day score of 587. Zachary Abdalla of Pitt Greensburg and Carter Schnipke from Trine tied for first place individually with a two-day score of 143.
The Celtics travel to Connoquenessing Country Club for a 1 p.m. quad match hosted by Geneva College today.
