Men's Soccer downed by Bryant & Stratton Rochester in USCAA matchup

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost, 5-0, to Bryant & Stratton Rochester at Montour Junction Sports Complex Sunday.

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost, 5-0, to Bryant & Stratton Rochester at Montour Junction Sports Complex Sunday.

The loss dropped the Celtics to 1-4 on the season while the Bobcats improved to 2-2-3.

Rochester scored its first goal on a penalty kick under 10 minutes into the game.

From there, the Bobcats scored at 25' and 37' to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

The Celtics fared somewhat better in the second half, holding Rochester scoreless for over 44 minutes before the Bobcats scored again.

The Bobcats slipped in their final two goals at 81' and 84'.

Rochester out-shot the Celtics, 24-12 (14-3 on goal), and held a 10-5 corner kick advantage.

Janvier Ramson tallied all three shots on net for Carlow, and Kevin Garcia put in the complete game effort in goal with nine saves.

The Celtics host Point Park University at Highmark Stadium for an RSC City Game Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.
