Men's Soccer loses heartbreaker to Indiana University East
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 1-0 heartbreaker to Indiana University East at Highmark Stadium Thursday.

The loss comes despite a colossal effort in goal from Kevin Garcia, who recorded several impressive saves throughout the evening.

The Red Wolves (6-5-1, 1-2 RSC) out-shot the Celtics (1-9-1, 0-3 RSC), 25-6 (14-3 on goal) to pick up their first conference win of the season.
Sudesh Tiwari - who put two of Carlow's three shots on goal - saw his first good look at 27', but the IU East goalkeeper came up with the save.
Garcia made his first big stop at 28' when he leapt for an IU East shot and redirected it off his gloved fingertips and over the net.
IU East defeated Carlow last season, 7-1, but the teams headed into the locker rooms at halftime deadlocked at zero.
Janvier Ramson drilled a shot that ricocheted off the crossbar in the 60th minute, and the Red Wolves moved the ball quickly down the field toward Garcia, who made another diving save.
Carlow was issued a yellow card after a foul in the box, setting the Red Wolves up for a penalty kick in the 61st minute.
The Red Wolves were once again foiled by Garcia, who came up with the huge stop on the PK.
IU East caught a break in the 73rd minute. A cross into the box found Albert Yakah wide open on the opposite side, as he went top shelf for the goal.
Tiwari had another nice look within the last minute of regulation, but the IU East keeper smothered the ball to maintain his clean sheet.
Garcia ended the night with 13 saves.
Carlow hosts Midway (Ky.) University Saturday, Oct. 8. The Celtics will celebrate six seniors for Senior Day beginning with a recognition immediately following the conclusion of the women's game around 4 p.m.
Carlow will also be celebrating homecoming with a tailgate outside the gates at Highmark Stadium.
