The RedStorm (9-3-2, 5-0-1 RSC) did not allow the Celtics (2-12-1, 1-6 RSC) a single shot on goal the entire game, and out-shot Carlow, 44-3. Rio Grande held a 9-0 corner kick advantage.
Janvier Ramson recorded all three of Carlow's shots on the night, and Kevin Garcia tied his season-high with 15 saves in net.
Rio Grande scored its first goal just minutes after kickoff. The RedStorm were awarded two penalty kicks five minutes apart, and a goal in between at 11' put them ahead, 4-0.
Rio Grande tallied another goal before halftime at 38' to take a 5-0 lead into intermission.
Dean Bregenzer scored at 64' and 82' to give the RedStorm a 7-0 lead, and Rio Grande scored its final goal of the night at 86'.
The Celtics host WVU Tech Saturday, Oct. 22 for a 6 p.m. RSC game at Highmark Stadium.
