PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 6-0 contest to WVU Tech Saturday at Highmark Stadium.

The Golden Bears (11-2-3, 6-0-1 RSC) are "receiving votes" in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll and currently sit in first place in the River States Conference standings.

WVU Tech started the night with a penalty kick just five minutes into the start of the game against the Celtics (2-13-1, 1-7 RSC).

Kevin Garcia came up with a huge stop at 17' to keep Carlow in the game, as the Golden Bears would not score again until the 39th minute.

WVU Tech took a 2-0 lead into halftime and dominated possession in the second half.

A far shot by Janvier Ramson in the 50th minute went just high over the goal, and WVU Tech scored its third goal of the night minutes later at 59'.

The Golden Bears scored again at 71' to extend their lead to 4-0, while Ramson had another great look at 78' that hit off the near post.

WVU Tech scored its final two goals late in the game at 82' and 87'.

Hamadi Mganga recorded the Celtics' lone shot on goal in the 18th minute, and Garcia made eight stops in goal.

The Celtics' final home game is 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24 at Highmark Stadium against Penn State Mont Alto.
