ERIE, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 4-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest to Penn State Behrend on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Lions' (8-6-3, 5-0-2 AMCC) defense did not allow the Celtics (3-12, 0-7 AMCC) a single shot the entire game, as Behrend outshot Carlow, 30-0.
Goalkeeper Alex Remington (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) recorded a season-high 11 saves in the complete game effort.
The Lions scored two goals in each half – early in the first, and late in the second. Behrend struck its first pair of goals within the span of five minutes at 18' and 23'.
Carlow held the Lions scoreless for the next 48 minutes through halftime and much of the second half before Behrend scored again.
The Lions tacked on two more at 71' and 83' to secure the victory. Behrend held a 10-1 corner kick advantage on the day.
The Celtics travel to Pitt Greensburg for a 1 p.m. AMCC match to close the regular season Oct. 29.
