Men’s Soccer struggles in second half against Pitt Greensburg
GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Carlow University men’s soccer held Pitt Greensburg scoreless for the almost the entire first half in a 4-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss Tuesday afternoon.

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer held Pitt Greensburg scoreless for the almost the entire first half in a 4-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss Tuesday afternoon.
The Celtics (3-12, 0-7 AMCC) held the Bobcats (5-11-1, 4-4 AMCC) at bay until an own goal in the 45th minute gave Pitt Greensburg a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Logan Alexander (Manchester Twp., N.J./Manchester Township HS) recorded Carlow's only shot on goal early in the first half.
The own goal took the wind out of Carlow's sails, as Pitt Greensburg landed its final three goals 17 minutes apart in the second half.
A goal at 53' and a penalty kick at 62' put the Bobcats ahead, 3-0, with the final tally coming from an unassisted goal by Sumanth Boyapati at 69'.
Pitt Greensburg outshot the Celtics 23-3 (10-1 on goal) and recorded a season-high 15 corner kicks to Carlow's two.
Goalkeeper Alex Remington (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) suffered the loss after making three saves in the first half. Zac Kolich (Enon Valley, Pa./Blackhawk HS/Pittsburgh Technical College) started the second half and tallied four stops.
This was the final regular season game for the Celtics.
