Men’s Indoor Track & Field places eighth at Muskie Meet No. 2

NEW CONCORD, Ohio --- Carlow University men's indoor track & field placed eighth of 10 teams at the Muskingum University Muskie Meet Saturday.

The Celtics recorded nine top-10 finishes on the day.

CJ Lucas led the Celtics with a personal best 3.95 meters in pole vault to land in third place. Lucas also ran a personal best time of 7.53 in the 60-meter dash preliminaries.

Quincy Fana ran a personal best 5:36.29 to place fourth in the mile and landed in ninth place with a 2:32.42 finish in the 800.

Bryan Pan finished ninth in the 60-meter dash and ran a personal best 7.30 in the preliminaries. He also finished eighth in the 400 and 10^th in the 200.

Gavin Moore placed ninth in his first attempt at long jump with a leap of 5.83 meters and ran a personal best time of 7.55 in the 60-meter dash preliminaries.

The 4x200 relay team of Moore, Pan, Kevin Garcia and Walt Kada placed fourth with a time of 1:43.96, which was just one second shy of tying the Carlow school record in the event.

Morgan Shriver made his collegiate debut in shot put with a distance of 9.14 meters.

The Celtics travel to the University of Mount Union Jim Wuske Invite Jan. 27.
