Fana earns Men’s Track & Field its first AMCC Athlete of the Week honor

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University Men's Indoor Track & Field athlete Quincy Fana earned the Celtics their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Athlete of the Week honor, the league announced Monday.

Fana, a sophomore from Glenshaw, Pa., ran a personal best 5:36.29 to place fourth in the mile and landed in ninth place with a 2:32.42 finish in the 800 at the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 2 Jan. 20. The Celtics recorded nine top-10 finishes on the day and placed eighth of 10 teams.

Carlow travels to the University of Mount Union for the Jim Wuske Invitational Jan. 27.
