BEREA, Ohio --- Carlow University men's indoor track & field competed against four other teams at the Baldwin Wallace University Mid-February Meet Friday.
The Celtics landed four top 10 finishes on the day, led by newcomers Mel Cobbler (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein HS/Morgan State University) and Ryan Hileman (Irwin, Pa./Norwin HS), who placed third and fifth respectively in the 55-meter hurdles. It was the first time Carlow competed in the event, so the pair set the bar for school record times.
Caleb Rogers (Clark, Pa./Sharpsville Area HS) continued to build upon his success in throws with a personal best school record of 11.12 meters in shot put that earned him ninth place in the event. Rogers currently holds the top five throws in shot put in the Carlow record book.
Jeb Jordan (Johnstown, Pa./Richland HS) ran a personal best time of 7.63 in the 55-meter dash to place fifth, rounding out the top scores for the Celtics on the day.
Carlow travels to the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 4 on Feb. 21.
