Cobbler, Rogers shatter school records at Muskie Meet No. 4

NEW CONCORD, Ohio --- Carlow University men's indoor track & field competed against nine other colleges and universities at the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 4 Friday.

Newcomer Mel Cobbler (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein HS/Morgan State University) broke the school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.28 to place 11^th in the event. The previous school record set by Bryan Pan on Dec. 2, 2022 was 9.36.

Caleb Rogers (Clark, Pa./Sharpsville Area HS) continued to improve his distance in shot put with a personal best, school record throw of 11.28 meters to place 15^th.

Shajit Pokwal (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) placed sixth in long jump with a leap of 6.22 meters, and Ryan Hileman (Irwin, Pa./Norwin HS) ran a personal best time of 9.87 in the 60-meter hurdles.

The Muskie Meet was the final tune-up for the Celtics before the United East Conference Championship, held at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md. Feb. 28.
