Men’s Track & Field places ninth at USCAA National Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Carlow University men's outdoor track & field placed ninth of 14 teams at the USCAA National Championship, hosted by American International College Saturday.

Senior Bryan Pan led the way with a second-place finish in the 100 with a personal best time of 11.25. Pan ran 23.48 to place third in the 200 and broke his previous school record (set on April 13) in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.50 to finish fifth.

Gavin Moore tied his personal best leap of 5.86 meters to place fourth in long jump and ran 24.18 to finish fifth in the 200. Moore was also part of the 4x100 relay team of Walt Kada, Sangay Gurung and Pan that placed third with a time of 46.67.

Morgan Shriver earned Second Team All-American honors with an 11th place throw of 28.03 meters in discus, while Kevin Garcia ran a personal best time of 5:24.26 in the 1,500.

First Team All-American honors were awarded to those who finished in the top seven spots based on cumulative scoring, while second team honors went to those who finished eight through 14. Pan earned second team All-American.

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences captured the 2024 USCAA Men's Track & Field National Championship team trophy with 191.5 points.
