Three Track & Field athletes earn AMCC Athlete of the Week honors

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Three Carlow University track & field athletes earned weekly honors, the AMCC announced Monday.

Molly Wagner, Sydney Taylor and Bryan Pan each earned recognition for their athletic endeavors this past weekend.

Wagner earned AMCC Track Athlete of the Week after leading the Celtics with two gold medal performances in the 100 and 200 at the USCAA National Championship Saturday. She broke the meet record in the 200 with a time of 26.16, besting the previous record (26.44) set by Loren Winters from Mississippi University for Women in 2022. Wagner was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed first with their best time this season of 50.79.

Taylor earned AMCC Field Athlete of the Week honors after breaking the meet record in triple jump with a personal best distance of 10.63 meters to place first in the event and snagged a personal best with a second-place leap of 4.67 meters in long jump. She was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed first. Every single women's outdoor track & field athlete placed in the top-10 in their respective events to help lift the Celtics to a second-place team finish at the USCAA National Championship.

Pan earned AMCC Track Athlete of the Week, leading the way with a second-place finish in the 100 with a personal best time of 11.25. Pan ran 23.48 to place third in the 200 and broke his previous school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.50 to finish fifth. He was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed third with a time of 46.67. Carlow men's outdoor track & field placed ninth of 14 teams at the USCAA National Championship, hosted by American International College Saturday.

The Celtics travel to the AMCC Championships, hosted by Penn State Behrend, May 4 and 5.
