Men’s Track & Field gearing up for United East Conference Championship

ERIE, Pa. --- Carlow University men's and women's track & field competes at the United East Championship, hosted by Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa. May 4-5.

Four AMCC member institutions are taking part as affiliates: Alfred State College, Hilbert College, Penn State Behrend and Carlow.

The men's track & field team is coming off a ninth-place finish at the USCAA National Championship April 27. Senior Bryan Pan led the way with a second-place finish in the 100 with a personal best time of 11.25. Pan ran 23.48 to place third in the 200 and broke his previous school record (set on April 13) in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.50 to finish fifth. Pan, who earned AMCC Athlete of the Week honors this season, ranks fifth in United East in the 110-meter hurdles and seventh in the 400-meter hurdles. 

Gavin Moore tied his personal best leap of 5.86 meters to place fourth in long jump and ran 24.18 to finish fifth in the 200. Moore was also part of the 4x100 relay team of Walt Kada, Sangay Gurung and Pan that placed third with a time of 46.67. Moore earned AMCC Athlete of the Week honors this season and ranks in the top-15 in the United East in the 200 and long jump. The 4x100 relay team of Kada, Moore, Gurung and Pan rank ninth.
