Men’s Track & Field records personal best times at CMU Invitational
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men’s track & field competed at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational March 28 and 29.

The Celtics competed against 21 other colleges and universities across NCAA Divisions I, II and III in the two-day event.
Mel Cobbler (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein HS/Morgan State University) led the Celtics with personal best times in two hurdling events. His time of 18.21 placed him 26th in the 110-meter hurdles and landed him fourth in the Carlow record books.
Cobbler also landed a fourth-best Carlow record time in the 400-meter hurdles with a 21st place finish of 1:01.44.
Ryan Hileman (Irwin, Pa./Norwin HS) ran personal bests in the hurdles as well, with a sixth-best Carlow record time of 18.77 in the 110-meter hurdles. He ran 1:07.08 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Three Celtics ran the fourth, fifth and sixth best times in Carlow history in the 1,500.
Eric Fowler (Torrington, Conn./Wamogo Regional HS/Roger Williams University), Francis Bochicchio (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bishop Canevin HS) and Hunter Brady (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York HS) etched their names in the Carlow record books with times of 4:56.33, 4:58.27 and 5:05.90, respectively.
Jordan Cannon (Cleveland, Ohio/Lutheran East/West Virginia Wesleyan) competed in his first collegiate field event with a 1.74-meter leap in high jump.
