Piccolino earns Men’s Volleyball its first AMCC Athlete of the Week honor

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University men’s volleyball senior Will Piccolino earned the team its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Athlete of the Week honor, the league announced Monday.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University men's volleyball senior Will Piccolino earned the team its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Athlete of the Week honor, the league announced Monday.

The outside hitter from Pittsburgh, Pa. tallied 50 digs in three games last week for the Celtics, earning AMCC Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

Piccolino averaged 4.17 digs per set and recorded 47 kills, a service ace and a block during a week that saw the Celtics go 0-3 in nonconference action.

Carlow returns to the court with a 6 p.m. match at Bethany (W. Va.) College Feb. 8.
