Men’s Cross Country places third at Penn State Fayette

It was the first time the Celtics scored as a team since Nov. 6, 2021 (River States Conference Championships), and the first time scoring as a team during the regular season since Sept. 11, 2020.
The team tackled the tough 8k course with an average time of 37:58, with Byron Gaskins leading the way with a 14th place finish in 36:06.3.
Sophomore newcomer Quincy Fana was not far behind, crossing the finish line in 36:28.1.
Isaiah Stein finished with a time of 37:21.6, Oscar Contreras ran 38:12.1 and Gavin McLain crossed the line at 41:43.1 to round out scoring for the Celtics.
Unattached runner Justin Geery won the race with a 29:38.50 finish, while Potomac State College took home the team trophy with an average time of 34:55.
Carlow returns to action Sept. 30 at the Mount Aloysius College Invitational.
