Fana places in top-15 for Men’s Cross Country at La Roche Invitational

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's cross country competed at a soggy La Roche University Invitational Friday evening.

Carlow was unable to score as a team, but sophomore Quincy Fana placed 14th out of 28 runners with a time of 21:52.5 to lead the Celtics.

Byron Gaskins came in with a time of 26:58.6 in the 5k race, while Gavin McLain and Oscar Contreras finished side-by-side at 27:21.4.

Pitt Greensburg took first place as a team with an average time of 20:16 and a team score of 17. The Bobcats' Ethan Barrick won the race with a 17:07.2 finish.

It was the final tune-up for the Celtics before the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship at Delaware Park in Buffalo, N.Y. Oct. 28.
