Men’s Cross Country finishes sixth at AMCC Championship

BUFFALO, N.Y. --- Carlow University men's cross country finished sixth of seven teams at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship Saturday afternoon.

The 8k meet was hosted by Hilbert College at Delaware Park in Buffalo, N.Y.

Sophomore Quincy Fana led the Celtics with a 33:45.12 finish to place 32nd of 48 runners on the day.

Isaiah Stein was close behind with a time of 34:37.02, while Carlow's final three runners – Oscar Contreras, Byron Gaskins and Gavin McLain – placed in order to round out scoring for the Celtics.

The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team collected 15 points and claimed their 15th conference championship – and their fourth in a row – as the first six runners to cross the finish line were all from Behrend.

Behrend junior Kody Klein was crowned the AMCC individual champion for the second year in a row. Klein crossed the finish line in 26:10.29, his fastest time of the season.

Up next for Carlow is the USCAA Championship, hosted by Penn State Fayette in Lemont Furnace, Pa. Nov. 11-12.
