Bochicchio leads Men’s Cross Country at AMCC Championship

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Three Carlow University men’s cross country runners competed in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds Saturday.

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Three Carlow University men's cross country runners competed in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds Saturday.

Francis Bochicchio (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bishop Canevin HS) led the Celtics with a time of 34:28.3 to place 23rd of 41 runners in the 8k race, hosted by Pitt Greensburg. Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) raced to a 36:36.8 finish, and newcomer Devon Dodd (Pittsburgh, Pa./CCAC) crossed the finish line in 47:05.5.

Penn State Behrend captured its fifth straight and 16th overall AMCC Championship with 23 total points, led by AMCC individual champion sophomore Lucas Boyd with a first place time of 27:40.5.

Up next for the Celtics is the USCAA Championship, hosted by Penn State Fayette Nov. 10.
