NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University junior McKenna Pierce earned the softball team its first AMCC Athlete of the Week award, the league announced Monday.
Pierce, a shortstop and catcher from Leechburg, Pa., had a huge week at the plate, going 14-for-24 (.583) with three doubles, a triple and two home runs. She recorded 13 RBI and 10 runs scored on the week. In AMCC action, she was 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles, a triple and five RBI as the Celtics went 5-1 (3-1 AMCC) on the week.

Carlow hosts Mount Aloysius College for a 6 p.m. AMCC doubleheader May 2.
