Pierce, Pollinger earn AMCC Third Team All-Conference honors

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University softball student-athletes McKenna Pierce and Megan Pollinger earned Allegheny Mountain College Conference Third Team All-Conference honors, the league announced May 14.
The Celtics (15-24) finished sixth overall in their first season in the AMCC.
Pierce led the team and was ranked third in AMCC with five home runs this season. She led the team and was 13th in the conference with a .386 batting average.
Pierce tallied 44 hits (tied for 10th in AMCC), 10 doubles (tied for sixth in AMCC), one triple and 29 RBI (tied for seventh in AMCC) this year.
Pollinger was second on the team with a .347 batting average this season. She tied for 13th in the AMCC with 41 hits, including seven doubles, two triples, a home run and 17 RBI.
