Pollinger tabbed USCAA Softball Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University softball athlete Megan Pollinger earned United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

Pollinger, a senior from Coraopolis, Pa., went 12 for 34 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs and six RBI in 10 games for the Celtics this past week. The outfielder recorded a .353 batting average and .647 slugging percentage. She hit both of her home runs in a 6-3 win over Waynesburg University Monday.

The Celtics return to action with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Penn State Beaver March 22.
