Bio

In 2019, Zinsmeister led the team to RSC Tournament and USCAA Small College World Series appearances. He was an assistant coach at Carlow for five years before assuming the head coach position, and the program posted successful seasons in the NAIA and USCAA both on the field and in the classroom.

The Celtics have made an appearance at the USCAA Small College World Series every year since 2013 (with the exception of 2020 when the tournament was canceled due to the global pandemic).

Zinsmeister graduated from Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing in 1989. He received his bachelor's degree in nursing from Carlow College in 1996 and completed is master's degree in nursing leadership from Chatham University in 2009. He is employed as a Clinical Director at UPMC Shadyside and is a former nursing faculty at Carlow University. Zinsmeister has been involved in coaching fast pitch softball for over 16 years in the North Hills and with the Shaler Heat.
