In just her fifth game this season, Olivia Chuvala drained eight treys to lead Carlow with a career and game-high 28 points off the bench. Sydney Carr added 20 points, four assists and two steals, and Emiley Hillgartner contributed 18 points and four steals. Brianna Evans scored a season-high 16 points off the bench with seven boards.
The Celtics (8-6, 5-3 AMCC) held the Express (0-14, 0-9 AMCC) to single digit scoring through the first two quarters and shot 47.8 percent (22 for 46) from beyond the arc on the day. Carlow led 42-11 at halftime, adding 31 points in the third quarter alone and tacking on 25 in the fourth.
Carlow outrebounded Wells, 64-33, and scored 29 points off 18 Express turnovers. Players off the bench scored over half of Carlow's points (50).
Trinity Thornton tallied 16 points for the Express.
Carlow hosts Kuyper College for a 6 p.m. game Jan. 22.
