Carr earns second AMCC Player of the Week nod

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- For the second time this season, Carlow University women's basketball guard Sydney Carr earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.
The senior from Pittsburgh, Pa. led the Celtics to a 2-0 week in AMCC action with an average 17.5 points per game. She went 8-for-12 from beyond the arc and averaged eight rebounds, three assists and three steals per game. In an 81-76 win over Penn State Altoona, she recorded 24 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three assists. She followed that up with 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 70-64 win over Alfred State.
The Celtics host crosstown foe La Roche University for the AMCC Game of the Week at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
