Carr earns third AMCC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- For the third time this season, Carlow University women's basketball guard Sydney Carr earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.
The senior from Pittsburgh, Pa. averaged 24 points and shot 50 percent from the field to help lift Carlow to two AMCC victories last week.
Against Pitt Greensburg she led the Celtics with a double-double, game-high 20 points and 15 rebounds. She dished out four assists and picked up four steals.
Against Pitt Bradford, she led Carlow with 28 points, nine assists and four steals. For the week, Carr averaged 24 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and four steals per game.
The Celtics host Penn State Altoona for a 7 p.m. AMCC game Feb. 12.
