PITTSBURGH --- For the second time this season, Carlow University women's basketball guard Sydney Carr earned United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.
The senior from Pittsburgh, Pa. averaged 24 points and shot 50 percent from the field to help lift Carlow to two conference victories last week.
Against Pitt Greensburg she led the Celtics with a double-double, game-high 20 points and 15 rebounds. She dished out four assists and picked up four steals.
Against Pitt Bradford, she led Carlow with 28 points, nine assists and four steals. For the week, Carr averaged 24 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and four steals per game.
The Celtics host Penn State Altoona for a 7 p.m. game Feb. 12.
