Carr, Cano earn spots on AMCC All-Conference Teams
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women’s basketball players Sydney Carr and Nina Cano earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors, the league announced Tuesday.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women's basketball players Sydney Carr and Nina Cano earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Carr, a senior guard from Pittsburgh, Pa., was named an AMCC All-Conference First Team pick.
She ranked first in the conference with a three-point shooting percentage of 44.3 and ranked second with an average 3.7 assists per game. Carr also ranked third with an average 2.7 steals and fifth with an average 15.5 points per game. Carr earned a spot on the AMCC All-Conference Second Team last season.
Cano, a graduate student from Greenville, Pa., was named to the AMCC All-Conference Third Team. She led the team and was second in the AMCC with an average 10.3 rebounds per game. Cano ranked third in the conference with 237 total rebounds and sixth with 23 total blocks on the season.
The conference also announced other award winners:
Player of the Year: Rachel Majewski, Penn State Behrend
Co-Defensive Players of the Year: Molly Kosmack, Mount Aloysius College & Avana Sayles, Penn State Altoona
Newcomer of the Year: Alaina Fabin, Penn State Behrend
Coach of the Year: Christine VanHook, Penn State Behrend
