Women’s Basketball earns No. 4 seed in USCAA Championship Tournament
BUFFALO, N.Y. --- For the third year in a row, Carlow University women’s basketball earned a bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division I National Championship Tournament, the association announced March 3.

BUFFALO, N.Y. --- For the third year in a row, Carlow University women's basketball earned a bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division I National Championship Tournament, the association announced March 3.
The No. 4-seed Celtics take on No. 5-seed Five Towns College Sound March 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Villa Maria College.
Last season Carlow fell to Bryant & Stratton College Syracuse and the University of Maine Fort Kent in the consolation game.
Led by third year Head Coach Dave Gordon, Carlow is looking to leave its mark at the tournament after its second 10-win season in a row. The Celtics ended the regular season 11-12 overall and 9-7 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action.
Sydney Carr (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) leads the USCAA with a 43.9 three-point field goal percentage. She ranks ninth with an average 3.8 assists and 11th with an average 2.7 steals per game.
Emma Aubrey (Bristol, Tenn./Sullivan East HS) is tied for second in the league with 53 three-pointers this season, and Nina Cano (Greenville, Pa./Greenville HS/Grove City College) ranks seventh with an average 10.5 rebounds per game. Emiley Hillgartner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) ranks eighth in the USCAA with a 72.2 free throw percentage.
This is the second straight USCAA Tournament appearance for the 11-5 Sound, led by Head Coach Corey Jacques.
Danica Robles ranks second in the league with a 37.8 three-point field goal percentage and ranks 10th with an average 3.6 assists per game. Tylah Langley ranks fourth with a 50.8 field goal percentage, and Ihari Oromo ranks ninth with an average 9.7 rebounds game. Danayjha Moore leads the team and ranks 11th in the USCAA with an average 16.9 points per game.
