Women’s Golf places first at Franciscan Fall Invitational
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio --- Carlow University women’s golf scored a first-place finish at the Franciscan University Fall Invitational at Steubenville Country Club Saturday.
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio --- Carlow University women's golf scored a first-place finish at the Franciscan University Fall Invitational at Steubenville Country Club Saturday.
The Celtics shot a team score of 389 to place first of three teams on the day. Grove City College and host Franciscan placed second and third, respectively.
Maci Lorigan (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) led Carlow with a second-place finish, carding an 88 on the 5,627-yard course.
Emilee Miller (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) placed fourth with a 97, Ava Grew (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield Area HS) placed sixth with a 100 and Bella Spahr (Cresson, Pa./Penn Cambria HS) tied for 10th with a 104.
Lilli Hope (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS) tied for 13th and shot a 107, and Ella Graff (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) carded a 135 to place 19th of 21 golfers on the day.
Lauren Kardos of Grove City took home the individual title with an 85.
The Celtics return to action with a 1 p.m. match at Connoquenessing Country Club hosted by Geneva College Sept. 23.
