Grew cards best career round to lead Women's Golf at Grove City

Junior Ava Grew (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield Area HS) shot the best round of her collegiate career to lead the Celtics with an 86, tying for 15th out of 71 golfers.
Maci Lorigan (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) carded a 95, while Jena Norman (McCandless, Pa./North Allegheny Senior HS) and Ella Graff (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) shot 105 and 116, which were their best scores so far this season.
"The team had a great week of practice, and it showed," said Head Coach Ryan Shank. "Ava had her best college round. She put in the work to make herself a better player, and it's nice to see her commitment pay off."
Ally Siewert from the College of Wooster shot one over par to place first individually, and Westminster College secured the team title with a score of 326.
The Celtics travel to the AMCC Invitational/Penn State Altoona Fall Invitational at Sinking Valley Country Club Oct. 5.
