Women’s Golf places first at AMCC Invitational

Ava Grew (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield Area HS) tied for first place with a score of 83 to lead the Celtics to a first place team score of 364.
Maci Lorigan (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong H) and Emilee Miller (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) placed third and fourth in the 24-golfer field after carding an 85 and 87, respectively.
Jena Norman (McCandless, Pa./North Allegheny Senior HS) placed 16th with a 109 to round out scoring for the Celtics, and Ella Graff (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) shot 113 as an individual.
Grove City's Lauren Kardos tied Grew for first place with an 83.
It was the second time the team came in first place at an invitational this season.
The Celtics travel to the USCAA Championship Oct. 14 and 15.
