Women’s Soccer overpowered on the road by Brevard

BREVARD, NC --- Carlow University women's soccer was held to just one shot on goal in a 2-0 loss at Brevard College Sunday.

The Celtics (0-1-1) kept the Tornadoes (1-1) from scoring the entire first half, with goalkeeper Lyndsey Szekely making six stops to keep Carlow in the game.

Brevard's back-to-back goals came within five minutes of one another late in the second half. The Tornadoes did not allow the Celtics a single corner kick the entire game. Brevard put up 21 shots and five corners on the day.

Goalkeeper Nicole Arroyo picked up the clean sheet for Brevard.

The Celtics conclude their North Carolina road trip with a 4 p.m. game at Shaw University today.
