USCAA RELEASE

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's soccer was the top team to receive academic recognition for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), announced during the banquet in November.

The Celtics saw the most student-athletes named to the All-Academic list with 16 total.

Carlow saw four different athletes named All-Americans, and sophomore Meghan McCoy earned the distinction of Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year. A separate release about that honor will follow.

Avery Dudek and Kylee Pry earned All-American First Team honors. Dudek started and played every game for the Celtics and was second on the team with five points. She tallied two goals and an assist this season. Pry started and played in six games as a goalkeeper this season before an injury took her out of the rotation. She ended the year with a 1.60 goals against average and 43 saves in 450 minutes in net.

Eve Hornick and Arley Wilson earned All-American Second Team honors. As a defender, Hornick started and played 15 games this season, tallying two goals in the effort. She was a constant presence in Carlow's backfield. Wilson started and played in 17 games, leading the Celtics this season with four goals.

To be named to the All-Academic team, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with at least a 3.5 overall GPA or higher.
