Women’s Soccer tabbed eighth in AMCC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The Celtics ended the 2023 campaign 2-12-3 overall and 2-6-1 in conference action, finishing eighth in the regular season standings.
Seventh year Head Coach Allen Duda selected sophomore midfielder Arley Wilson (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville Area HS) and junior defender Hannah Biros (West Newton, Pa./Yough HS) as players to watch this season.
Wilson was a 2023 USCAA All-American second team selection who started in all 17 games for the Celtics and led the team with four goals.
Biros helped secure the back line for Carlow, starting in 13 games and tallying one goal and one assist on the year.
The league selected Penn State Behrend first in the preseason poll, followed by defending champion Pitt Greensburg in second place. Mount Aloysius College rounded out the top three.
The AMCC tabbed Pitt-Greensburg junior forward Maya Wertelet as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and Penn State Behrend senior defender Nicole Croushore as the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
