Women’s Soccer downed in nonconference action at Saint Vincent
LATROBE, Pa. --- Carlow University women’s soccer lost a 4-1 contest to Saint Vincent College at UPMC Field Saturday afternoon.

LATROBE, Pa. --- Carlow University women's soccer lost a 4-1 contest to Saint Vincent College at UPMC Field Saturday afternoon.
Tianna Torles (Bethel Park, Pa./St. Vincent College) scored an unassisted goal in the 66th minute to cut the Bearcats' lead to 3-1.
Saint Vincent (3-1) took a 3-0 advantage into halftime after goals at 16', 20' and 42'.
Madisen Geesaman scored a brace for the Bearcats, and Emma Koller added a goal and an assist on the day. Saint Vincent's final tally of the match came from Geesaman in the 81st minute.
The Bearcats outshot the Celtics 37-4 (17-3 on goal) and secured 10 corner kicks without allowing Carlow any.
Elizabeth Knight (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) was tabbed with the loss after making six saves in the first half. Lyndsey Szekely (North Huntington, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) also tallied six saves in the final 45 minutes of play.
Carlow hosts Washington & Jefferson College for a 6:30 p.m. match at Highmark Stadium Sept. 10.
