PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's soccer fell 9-0 to unbeaten Penn College of Technology at Cupples Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats (4-0-3) outshot the Celtics 26-9 (15-5 on goal) on the day, landing four goals in the first half and five in the second.
Anna Gribik (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area HS) put two shots on net for Carlow (0-5-1) in the effort.
Elizabeth Knight (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) suffered the loss after making three stops in the first half. Lyndsey Szekely (North Huntington, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) faced an unlucky second half with two shots in succession that ricocheted off Carlow defenders and into the net. She made three saves in the half.
Megan Kurian scored a brace and two assists, and Rylee Oliphant added two goals and an assist for the Wildcats.
The Celtics return to action with a 4:30 p.m. game against Penn State New Kensington Sept. 24.
